Meet Dr. Jose Figueroa
Veterinarian | Founder, Allendale Animal Health Center
Dr. Jose Figueroa has been caring for pets for over three decades, bringing warmth, experience, and heart to every exam room. Originally from Puerto Rico, he began his studies at the University of Puerto Rico at Mayagüez, continued on to Kansas State, and earned his veterinary degree from Tuskegee University in 1992.
After graduating, Dr. Figueroa began his career in Georgia before moving to Kissimmee in 2001. He opened the doors to the current Allendale Animal Health Center in 2008 — a place built on compassion, trust, and personalized care for every pet who walks through the door.
He’s known for his calm, gentle approach and for truly taking the time to listen to pet owners. Whether he’s performing surgery, helping a nervous pet feel safe, or simply answering questions, Dr. Figueroa makes every patient and family feel seen and cared for.
Outside of work, he enjoys boating, relaxing with family, and visiting Puerto Rico whenever he can — the island that still feels like home.
To Dr. Figueroa, being a veterinarian isn’t just a profession — it’s who he is. He’s proud to be part of the Kissimmee community and honored to care for the pets that mean so much to the families here.
