What to Expect at Your First Visit

We know bringing your pet to a new veterinary clinic can feel a little stressful — for both you and your furry friend. At Allendale Animal Health Center, our goal is to make your first visit as comfortable and reassuring as possible.

From the moment you walk in, you’ll be greeted with a warm smile and a clean, welcoming space. Our experienced team is here to answer your questions, listen to your concerns, and provide the best care for your pet. Plus, we believe in keeping the lines of communication open! You’ll have easy access to Dr. Figueroa through live messaging on the Vello app, so you can stay connected and informed about your pet’s health every step of the way.

During your first visit:

• Your pet will receive a full physical exam with Dr. Figueroa, from nose to tail.

• We’ll talk through their health history, behavior, diet, and any current concerns you may have.

• If needed, we may recommend routine diagnostics, vaccines, or dental care.

• You’re welcome to bring any previous medical records or notes from another vet. If you don’t have those — no worries. Just tell us what you know, and we’ll take it from there.

We believe in partnering with pet parents to make informed, thoughtful decisions together. If your pet ever needs specialized care, Dr. Figueroa may refer you to a trusted veterinary specialist.
